Brunch for the Imaginación

THURSDAY, APRIL 25 AT 9 AM
HOLY CROSS CHURCH & SCHOOL

Join us for a brunch prepared by Chef Calvin Metts of the Morris Inn featuring the culinary skills of Holy Cross School’s own “sous-chefs” trained in the Cooking with Cops Program.

God’s generosity knows no bounds. Our enrollment has grown by over 30% in the past year alone, our Two-Way Spanish Immersion program will expand into the first grade next year, and our student body continues to grow in linguistic, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity. We have been busy imagining novel and impactful ways to meet the needs of our growing learners and we need your help.

Our partnership with the Cooking with Cops program lead by Chef Calvin Metts of Notre Dame’s Morris Inn has underscored the critical role that arts and enrichment opportunities play in Holy Cross’ efforts to educate the whole child. Research has shown that students, especially at-risk students, who participate in the arts do better academically, set higher career goals for themselves, and engage more fully with their communities – critical outcomes we’re looking for in our
Crusaders.

Please join us on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 8:15 a.m. for a bilingual Mass and 9:00 a.m. for the Brunch for the Imaginación to expand and strengthen arts education at Holy Cross. The brunch will be prepared by Chef Calvin Metts and his team of Holy Cross middle school sous-chefs. The funds raised will support the development of our drama program, creative writing initiative, and stock much-needed arts and enrichment materials. We look forward to welcoming you to Holy Cross and ensuring our students thrive!
